Community Tasting Notes 9

December 11, 2022 - Consistent with previous bottle. Definitely needed a bit of air to flourish but showed lovely tart raspberry and cranberry notes with some high toned floral notes and some earthy, medicinal funk in the background. Tingly tart red fruit on the palate. Great structure and balance. Very nice wine.

October 6, 2022 - "Cloudy" appearance, ruby color. Unfiltered. Cranberries on the nose with a slight "mousy" accent. Sweet cranberry compote on the palate, which is in a few moments replaced by an attack of dirt/soil. It doesn't taste good. I didn't like this wine at all. Short, bitter finish and unpleasant aftertaste. Disappointing.

May 6, 2022 - Popped and poured. Slightly cloudy, medium ruby color. Just fantastic right out of the gate with aromas of cran-raspberry, violets, a bit of funk, tart cherries, and baking spices. Loved smelling this wine. Similar flavors on the palate with slightly tingly tart red fruits balanced by some earthy notes and spices. Medium+ to high acid, medium tannins. Juicy mouthfeel. Paired great with a grilled pork chop with red cabbage.

December 29, 2020 - PNP into ISO tasting glass (“Root” to “Flower” day): Pale garnet to the eyes, watery rims.

Red berry jams like strawberries, florals, white spices.

Minerality driven, acidity is great and bright. Very good clean finish.

93 points. While accessible now, this feels like this is still in its infancy and has room for more in cellar.

October 15, 2020 - Way too young right now. Pretty crappy tasting wine, IMO. Maybe it will get better after cellaring a while. Poor QPR.
