September 8, 2023 - Needs a few minutes in the glass to open up. Then roasted almonds, sweet elderberries, some beeswax, smoky hints; velvety texture on the palate, harmonious and balanced, not fat at all. Very "calm", yet with fine acidity. Slightly spicy on the finish, with good length. A beautiful wine. 17.5/20

August 6, 2023 - In der Nase weißes Steinobst, Wachs, sehr helle Zitrusnoten. Dazu Apfel samt Schale und Kernen. Feiner, kühler, heller Rauch und selbst mit viel Luft nur angedeutete Vanille. Helle Kräuter, etwas Kreide, …; sehr komplex aber alles ganz fein.
Am Gaumen mit sehr festem hellen Fruchtbiss, gleich dahinter ein Wahnsinns-Säurezug. Das trägt so tatsächlich den ganzen Gaumen und wäre allein schon ein wahre Freude. Hier hat’s allerdings eine Tiefe und eine Spannung, der ganze Wein strahlt regelrecht ein abgeklärte, selbstbewusste Ruhe aus. Ich habe den Wein über drei Tage getrunken, stabil ohne Ende. Sehr schöner Gerbstoff-Griff, einerseits packend, andererseits nie auch nur annäherungsweise ruppig.
Überflüssig zu erwähnen: Lang, komplex, anhaltend, nachhaltig.
Ganz große Klasse.
