November 9, 2023 - After I got through telling the group I think Drouhin's wines are generally made in a more subtle, elegant style, then this brute of a wine gets poured. The combination of the natural power of the Chambertin vineyard and the cranky style of the vintage has created a long-lived wine that still needs to fully integrate and settle down. Great material and perfect balance suggest this is worth holding in the cellar. 93+

April 4, 2023 - Gevrey Dinner (Mino Brasserie): Decanted. Somewhat a rarity which really blossomed with air. Regal vintage structure filled with very perfumed blue fruit and meatiness. So much volume and drive, true power at its core. Le Chambertin singing its tune, split for WOTN. 95-96

July 11, 2020 - A beast of a bottle and totally closed. Decanted briefly. Dark fruit, lots of stuffing, but not giving much. You can sense the layers there but coiled so tight. Hold a long time
