September 14, 2023 - Creamy body yet w a fresh, structured feel. It manages this structure even if acidity feels somewhat low (around medium acidity in somm-speak).
Honey, lemon, cream, grapefruit, fresh pear, yellow flowers & a slight hint of struck flint.
Even if fragrant and welcoming now, there is much still yet to be coaxed from wine with time and oxygen.
Lovely to pair with lighter meats cooked with cream/butter and aromatic green herbs (terragon, basil, parsley). -

July 6, 2020 - Masterclass on Nahe with Weingut Dönnhoff (Zoom): Nearly colourless, and starlight. A somewhat briny floral weight on the nose. Dry, with a certain mineral smoky intensity, and florals, lemon peel flavours, and brine. Very persistent in terms of the minerality and smokes. Interesting

May 24, 2019 - Tasted after 2018 Stückfass Weissburgunder & Chardonnay. Round and creamy, more layered, a little spicy and quite herbal on the nose. Good concentration and weight, well integrated acidity, nice mineral spine. Very good length and overall balance. 91-92+
