July 2, 2011 - There is some debate currently as to whether we missed the boat on this one. The nose is really dominated by the old book smell. There is some leather and a little fruit left too. There is still black fruit, dusty tannins, and alcohol on the palate. Probably would have been better last year.

June 12, 2009 - Wow - what a delicious bottle of wine. I forgot to take detailed tasting notes but I can assure you this is drinking beautifully now, rich, plush, heaven! Dark berrys, very subtle tannins, my only 2001 but would certainly buy again next time Foxen release a few more.
