  January 16, 2022 - Minerally. Dark blackberry notes. Hints of old leather on the finish. Save a bottle for vertical tasting after a year or two.

  September 28, 2021 - Italian Wine Scholar Class at the Texas Wine School. 85% Morellino, with 10% Alicante & 5% Ciliegiolo. M (-) ruby with a garnet rim. A bit reductive at first, with tart red fruit, black plum, herbs and earth. All stainless steel. Dry, with lots of juicy red fruit (raspberry, red currant and cherry), M acidity and tannins. The alcohol is M (+) at 13.5%. M body, flavor intensity and length. A pleasant, classic and dependable Morellino. Made to be drunk now, not intended for aging.

  March 28, 2021 - A bit reductive, red fruits and a hint of herbs. Medium body, decent acid. Really nothing special. This wine costs $18 in California, and I feel it should cost $8.

  August 19, 2020 - Floral nose. Light brick in color.Ripely fruity -- mostly Sangiovese grapes and they must've ripened very well in the sunny south of Tuscany. Medium finish. Great value. Buy again.
