December 30, 2018 - Un vin à pleine maturité, sur le tertiaire mais demeurant assez vif.
    Cerise noire, chocolat, tabac.
    un régal!

November 10, 2017 - Allowed to breathe in glass 1 hour. Clear deep garnet-ruby-brick red color. Initial bouquet of tobacco and leather, with some nice notes of creme de cassis and cherries appearing after another hour. Background hints of stony red soil, balsamic and soy sauce. Full body, nice balance, pleasant tannic grip, improved with extended aeration.

March 31, 2017 - Clear rim, red-brown inwards, looks in reasonable shape for 22yr old wine.

Ripe cherry, cranberry, slightly spirity on the nose, clean and elegant on entry, still surprising amount of drying tannins on the midpalate, full fruit flavours of plums, prune, violets, licorice; licorice and plum notes linger, touch spirity. Acidity is tightly bound with the tannins. Good with fatty meats like lamb.

Will hold for a few more years, but not sure if much more to be gained from further ageing.

January 20, 2016 - Still has time. Long legs, brickish color, Opened up nicely, smooth tannins and berry aromas.
