February 5, 2023 - Final bottle from a half case purchased privately in 2019. Very close to the fourth bottle, tasted on 31 December 2022 (and much livelier than the fifth bottle, tasted on that same day), the salty minerality on the finish noted in particular this time.

December 31, 2022 - Fifth bottle from a half case purchased privately in 2019. More evolved than the other bottle tasted today. On the verge of coming across as tired. The yellow apple fruit is dried, the palate lacks oomph and on the salmiac-like finish nothing much is going on. There seems to be huge bottle variation with this wine.

December 31, 2022 - Fourth bottle from a half case purchased privately in 2019. A lot better than the previous two bottles, although not up to the standard of the first one. This time there is good fruit, both citrus and (spiced) apple, firm acidity and lots of chalky minerality, persistence is good but not exxeptional. It delivers Grand Cru authority, but in a relatively understated way.

May 21, 2022 - Third bottle from a half case purchased in 2019. Opened to (hopefully) disprove my less than convincing recent (14 May 2022) experience. This bottle is a bit better than the previous one, with less evolved aromatics, but there is a clear lack of fruit on the drying, chalky finale. It looks like this is not living up to the promises of its youth.

May 14, 2022 - Second bottle from a half case purchased in 2019, when I last tasted this and thought that it needed time. The structure of the wine is still very youthful, with lots of chalky minerality, but the aromatic expression on the nose has evolved much quicker than I had anticipated, and now displays spiced yellow apple and a touch of honey, and there is quite a hole on the palate and on the finish, where the wine feels stripped of its flavours. Let's hope that it is just this bottle.
