Community Tasting Notes 8

February 17, 2024 - Very good. Dark, ripe, intense, with enough herbal, woody notes to be interesting. More fruit on the palate than the nose, quite dry with fine tannins and a medium length finish. Would be hard to place blind, does not taste old world, neither does it taste new! Probably let down by the faint whiff of green pepper.

September 2, 2023 - Very Merlot-dominant blend and a good, reasonably priced dinner wine. No complaints, but no major kudos, either.

June 7, 2023 - The bottle said to decant, it doesn't need it. Opens with a beautiful aroma of pencil lead, tobacco, cherry, blackberry, anise and floral. Similar flavors with blackberry, pencil lead, anise, tobacco, cherry, and floral. Great balance leading to a smooth silky finish.

November 27, 2022 - Nose of ripe dark fruit, raisin, olive and spice. On palet medium body, high acidity, and medium tannin. Flavor profile of plum, pepper, and other spices.
