July 20, 2022 - A few months since we had this last and continues on the right path. One of the best and underrated super cuvées of Assyrtiko, soft waxy, light honey, lovely bright feel. Less of the flinty , sharp feel, juicier and richer than normal but also of impressive level. 93

April 23, 2021 - 9 months since we tried this last ( Papies 93) and continues on the right path , evolving and showing that the longevity here is proper. Easily this has another 7-10yrs of life and much like a great Chablis good cellaring will be rewarded ( this is our bet!)
Like as we say a lightly oaked Chablis, polished acids, very bright and energetic , mineral and with a lovely salinity. Very elegant and a great wine on a world scale. 93-94

November 24, 2020 - Medium gold. Pronounced. High acidity, full body and textured. Citrus and stone fruit, dry mediterranean herbs. Pastry, toasted bread. So perfumed that seems matured in barrel. Saline and mineral. Great fruit concentration. Volcanic liquid.

    12 months on the lees

July 17, 2020 - A year since we tried this before ( Papies 93) and this continues to deliver and we will def buy some more to age as these we are pretty sure will become very special. This is one of the cuvées to hunt down as in a few years these would become unicorn wines.
Flinty ( defines flinty) and mineral, polished acidity , soft edge probably from the dollop of Athiri this has and with a honey and herby edge. We said originally this would be Greece’s Clos St Hune and we stand by our view . Assyrtiko from Santorini for us can rival the best wines in the world and this cuvee displays it 100%. 93-94 and so elegant

November 18, 2019 - From a sampler. Peach, sweets, flowers. On the richer side, somewhat mellow but very appealing. Had expectations of higher acidity. Should get better, certainly got the prospects of building more complexity.

July 25, 2019 - Having tried this by the glass a month or so ( Papies 93) we could not resist asking for a bottle this time round and frankly we hope that we will be able to source some to age as this has this feel of a wine that can age and develop akin the best of burgundy without the mistakes of premox.
Polished wine, elegant and full of character, the mineral and firm components of assyrtiko are there but also a restrained elegance too, the wine is a bit shy for now and with some respect and patience ( pls don’t serve this too cold and maybe even decant it ) this shows a glimpse of the journey is on. Solid 92-94 for now

June 28, 2019 - 2019 Athens Wine Event (Athens): By the glass via Coravin at Oinoscent, Athens.
This could well develop into the Clos St Hune of Santorini and goes along the same path as Terlan did with its Grand Cuvee. Make a superb wine from the best one has and not try to push it but let it sing.
Focused , mineral and laser like precise. 10 months or so on lees and nothing else, no feel of any oak. Polished on the acid even at this young age and really special. Less giving at this stage than its brother "Plethora" ( Papies 93) and definitely less of intervention than Hatzidakis Assyrtiko de louros ( Papies 93) but wit age this should develop into further greatness. 93 for now but watch this stage

March 3, 2019 - Oinorama Wine Fair 2019; 3/2/2019-3/3/2019 (Zappeio): Tank fermented, 1 year on its lees, 1 years in bottle, 1700 bottles
Just by smelling this, you get excited, very attractive and welcoming, sweet aromas, ripe stone and citrus fruit, salty and mineral. In the palate, the wine is very rich, full stone fruit, medium to full body, salty, high acidity that offers perfect balance, very long finish. A truly outstanding wine, probably the best fresh Santorini I remember. Can’t wait to taste this after a few years.
