November 24, 2023 - This might be just an entry level Rotie from Guigal, but it is always a joy to come back to. Blended with 4% of Viognier, aged for 36 months in oak, 50% new. Deep ruby colour. Intense aroma of plums, dark cherries, blackberries, vanilla, kirsch, spices, hints of black olives, leather and cold cuts. Medium+ body, powerful and rich but at same time fresh, youthful and restrained with toasty and delicately smoky red fruit flavours, spicy edges, medium acidity and medium extra fine tannins.

October 27, 2023 - From magnum. Open for drinking. Quite fresh and elegant and not at all heavy. Bright red fruits with careful oak and tannins backed by acidity in a surprising harmony considering that the wine still is quite young. Will hold at least another decade.

September 29, 2023 - Excellent syrah ou les aromes d'olive, de cuir, d'épices et de viandes s'agencent très bien. Tannins fins, fraicheur et belle finale, superbe.

May 5, 2023 - Deliciously aromatic nose of dark cherry, raspberry and plum, wild garrigue, with layers of black olive tapenade, smoked meat, game, leather, peppery spice and a frame of integrated vanillin oak. Ripe and powerful on the palate, but with lift and freshness and a long peppery finish. Drinking very nicely.
