March 31, 2024 - Dark reddish garnet in color. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, cassis & plums with earthy/dusty & herbal overtones, some floral notes, spices, minerals, & cedar in the background. Medium bodied with a good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, mulberries & pomegranate with herbs, minerals, spices & a hint of vanilla/oak. Lingering finish. Quite accessible at present with decanting & extended airing but should develop further with additional aging. Very good QPR as it delivers quite well at its price point.

    March 9, 2024 - 80% merlot & 20% cab franc. Flamboyant & complex with plum, cherry & soft oak.

March 3, 2024 - 80% merlot / 20% cab franc. Close out at $11 and this is a fun, earthy, right bank BdX that gives you that French perfume as you swallow. I should have bought more.

November 19, 2023 - Sweet red fruits, fine tannins, silky smooth palate with a little bit of spice but otherwise few earthy or savoury notes. This is the kind of soft easy-going 'modern' (usually right-bank) claret that normally I would find very boring. But it's nicely done with sufficient freshness and acidity to keep it balanced and elegant.

December 5, 2022 - Pure elegance when tasted alongside its Sonoma cousins. Blackberries, ripe raspberries, red cherry, unobtrusive oak and some subtle tar notes. It’s mid-bodied but with nice intensity and complexity, and a lovely finish. Good value-for-money.
