    September 8, 2021 - 2016, Barolo Bussia Cicala, Poderi Aldo Conterno, Monforte d’Alba, Piemont, Italien (100% Nebbiolo von Sand-, Magnesium- und Mangan-Böden. Süd-westliche Ausrichtung. 380 M.ü.M. 30 Tage Mazeration bei 29°, Ausbau während 30 Monaten in Eichenfässern. 15% Alkohol, 6.0g/l Säure, 33g/l Trockenextrakt). Dieser Wein war vor zwei Jahren verschlossener, doch aktuell strahlt die Nase förmlich aus dem Glas, etwas rauchiger und steiniger als Colonello, zeigt Noten von Früchtetee, Johannisbeeren, wird mit Luft immer floraler und besticht mit wunderbaren Veilchenaromen. Im Auftakt opulent, warm anmutend, sehr ausdruckstark, vollmundig, würzig, die delikate, rote Beerenfrucht wird von fein gewobenen Gerbstoffen getragen, diese sind in Massen vorhanden und von sehr guter Qualität. Lang, würzig, mit leicht rauchigem und adstringierendem Nachhall. 2024-2046+, 95/100 vvPunkte. vvWine.ch

    July 9, 2021 - Rich and fiery aromas, but still on the majestic way with wonderfully concentrated fruit that oozes exclusivity with delicious cherry fruit, hints of this more dried orange peel, anise, balsamic, dried rose petals, dried forest, mushrooms, graphite, boiling tea and hints of licorice. Pretty full-bodied and refined wine with this wonderfully large, yet delicate and sexy raspberry fruit that spreads seductively like Mata Hari her self. Concentrated cherries, purple fruit peel, dried orange peel, distinctly ripe rosehip, anise, tea tones and dried mushrooms. Long and super-concentrated finish that makes hearts melt. Great acidity refreshes the wine and even though the tannins are firm, it is on this path that will please you. Sublime wine! Give it 10 years and the tears will fall of joy. 97 points.

    March 6, 2020 - 2016, Poderi Aldo Conterno, Barolo Cicala, Barolo, Piemont (100% Nebbiolo, 5 Wochen Maischezeit, 30 Monate Ausbau, 14.85% Alkohol) Leuchtendes Rubin. Fantastische Nase, tiefgründig, wenn auch etwas weniger expressiv als Colonello, zeigt eher dunkle Früchte, mit mehr Luft auch deutlich Veilchen, trockenes Heu, eine leicht rauchige Note sowie rote Johannisbeeren und Erdbeeren. Im Gaumen druckvoll, ein Mund voll Wein, reife, rote Frucht, schöne Kräuterwürze, knackig, saftig, männlich, straff, da ist enorm viel Tannin mit im Spiel, der Wein wirkt noch wild, verfügt aber über eine hervorragende Qualität. Im Abgang würzig und lang. Gefällt mir noch besser als 2015, v.a. das Terroir spricht hier noch deutlicher. 19 vvPunkte (95/100). vvWine.ch
