May 8, 2022 - 592 bottles produced. My first of six.
    100% Syrah this time round…
Understated mineral nose with background hints of cranberry, raspberry, blood orange and some charcuterie hints.
Burgundian, mineral-acid palate, animale, jube-like fruit, savoury hints of soy and bacon fat, barely noticeable tannin, almost weightless. Youthful , creeping into the secondary phase…

April 13, 2022 - Very light on its fight. Floral. Some whole bunch? Very opposite to a old school Barossa shiraz.

January 12, 2020 - Screwcap, 13% alc. Very dark but vibrant magenta/fuchsia, tending to bright purple.

A complex and alluring nose of dusty cherry, curry leaf, black pepper, earthy/aldehydic funk; a similar character to the Ruggabellus orange wines. Some graphite, licorice, and angostura bitters emerge with airing.

Light bodied, sour-edged fruit is the main initial message delivered by the palate, supported by grippy, yet very fine, dusty tannins. Wonderful but deceptive length due to the light weighted fruit. The various non-fruit aromas give an impression of substantial oak treatment, but in the mouth, the oak is just a seasoning and nothing more. Such wonderful balance to this wine.

Opinion: Excellent wine. Give it some air and some time to really shine. I wish I had ordered more on release, before it sold out. I had doubts about the rave reviews of this wine initially, due to the wine coming across as just a little light and simple. However after extended airing (day 2) that delicacy really shines. Even better after day 5; with the wine fleshing out nicely.

Like with their white/orange wines, the aroma is so complex and alluring that you want to keep nosing the glass. However the palate is so beautiful, that you can’t help but take a sip. Before long, the bottle is empty!

June 27, 2019 - I love the perfume on this one, it is so floral. Red berry fruits present right behind the pretty petal things. It is a crunchy wine of clarity and finishes with tang and vitality.
