December 16, 2021 - I tasted it blind and decided it must either be Syrah, or Cabernet Franc. There is an obvious “important variety” authority in it. The tannins are punctual. There is smell of laissez faire, painters’ tape/grapey reduction, that led me in that direction, too. Normally I don’t have this much patience for Pinot Noir so far off the range of typicity. But it taste’s good! And I sympathize with the strategy to preserve it—extraction, O2 denial—including the screwcap. Stemmy, menthol herbs (a la Cab Franc), some rigid black grape skin (a la Syrah) and a generally personable, fresh, quenching chewiness characterize the drink. Its austerity and purity appeals to a European palate. As it drains, it does a little energetic hip dance.

July 9, 2020 - Taste like you think a German Pinot would. Great value and good with food. Light ruby color with hidden alcohol. Depth of red fruit with a slight structure. Better on day two.

March 15, 2020 - Easy drinking wine with great QPR. Nothing complex, but bright fruit with some earth note and minerality. Oddly, slight effervescence, not sure if this is typical with this wine or bottle was flawed.

February 8, 2020 - Easy drinking, bright red fruit, some glycerol feel, almost oily palate. Some earth and light minerality on the finish. A little simple. But very pleasant.

Quite dry; dusty tannins. Pleasant and easy to drink even though it could not stand up to the Filet Mignon served alongside.
Not very complex or long but pleasant to drink. good everyday wine.1 person found this helpful Comment
