April 18, 2023 - Monthly Tuesday group The Dead Sparrow Côte de Nuits (By PV): Beautiful and mature bouquet with earth, tobacco, herbs and rustic flavors. On the palate juicy red berries, some toast and chocolate. Slightly mature and beautiful wine. 92 – 93

January 31, 2022 - I would change nothing. With Julia Child's Boeuf Bourguignon. Elegance and delicacy that sang beside the boeuf and mushrooms. Simplicity perfected.
The Ode to Joy in Beethoven's 9th is the grandest of things that can be heard. But a soft, quiet ending to a Mozart movement is a different pure joy. One does not have to choose. This was a perfect Chambolle-Musigny moment.

December 26, 2021 - Wow! This is burgundy when it all comes together. Seamless, smooth, fruit is still bright and fresh with a strawberry nuance. The acidity provides a bit of a bite, but it’s not overwhelming and the core comes thru. Purchased for $35 in 2008. Sigh…

October 3, 2020 - Very similar to a Patric Rion NSG Argillieres 2005, tasted same evening. Sweet and delicate raspberry like aromas. Pure, smooth and delicate in the mouth. Good for a Village.

February 23, 2019 - Light rose / ruby color. Pretty nose with red cherry fruit and a touch of savory. Elegant with good depth and finishing sweetness. Pretty, delicious and ready. (91)
