March 2, 2022 - This particular bottle was more reminiscent of the first couple times I have tasted this with a hauntingly, beautiful seductive profile of tobacco dust, sweet cedar notes with intense damp sous bois layering; truffle, autumn leave etc. that show a certain sultry warmth but in this case show no inappropriate heaviness. There is that lovely orange top note with herbal tea spice in the mouth and bits of brown sugar and warm but not stewed midpalate dried fruit flavors. Very sexy wine with elegance and balance. So stylish for Chorey-Les Beaune. 94+.

September 8, 2021 - Wanted to share this with another wine buddy. This is amazingly consistent and showed identically to previous bottle.

June 11, 2021 - Holy Shit, this is great! A delicious nose of coffee liqueur, brown sugar, powerfully intense sous bois aromas, autumnal spice, autumn leaves, etc. with citrus and strawberry/cherry fruits remaining. French onion soup/beef stock comes about and adds further depth and richness. So much sultry sex appeal in this vintage and I will have to do my absolute best to keep my hands off these bottles for as long as I can. This is triumph for Chorey but I guess sometimes the stars get aligned in just the right way. Beautiful. 94-95.

May 10, 2021 - This showed like a Grand Cru, with a seductive sweet nose of caramel, coffee liqueur, leather, brown sugar and soy sauce. Great sous bois complexities for a Chorey-Les Beaune!! Hours after this incredible performance, the wine shows dried rose petal and remnants of red fruit. Perfectly balanced acidity with resolved tannin though (the finish) shortens up with air time. Tasted out of half bottle as my tasting partner had consolidated a 750ml for transport across town. Great stuff.

March 7, 2021 - Another great bottle: very fragrant, aged, dried black cherry and umami elements; beautiful balance of aged fruit, black tea, spices and some residual acidity; hauntingly long, long finish. 93+
