March 9, 2023 - Decanted at the restaurant from Mag. Needed much more than the hour of air it received. On the muscular side of Barolo with lots of Medium Dark Berry, fine grained tannin, plenty of structure and a very nice mouthfeel. Thru it’s big boned presence there were very nice floral and mineral notes, but I didn’t follow close enough to get more specific . Very enjoyable - will benefit from 5-15 years of rest

March 9, 2023 - Knights of Alba (KOA) Candidate Dinner (Ai Fiori (Langham Hotel on 5th Ave)): Out of magnum no less. This was a bit more brawny and grippy than the other two wines. Also really liked the air. At the end of the day just lovely as well. Great minerality and a compelling style to it. Tons of life left. A treat to get to try as this was the first vintage and not something you see very often.
