Community Tasting Notes 6

March 16, 2023 - Dark red fruit, ripe raspberry, and earthy notes on the nose.

More fruit on the nose than the palate, some bramble, dried herbs, and undergrowth. A little bit meaty and peppery. Medium bodied with great concentration and softened tannins. In a great spot. Wish I had more.

May 1, 2022 - Clear, med to med (+) ruby. Clean, med intensity aroma of tart red cherry, strawberry, fresh herbs, bell pepper, earth. No oak. Developing. Dry, med (+) acidity, med tannins, med alcohol (13%). Med body, flavor intensity and length, with a slightly bitter finish. A very traditional, well-balanced, classic Loire Valley Cab Franc, It is drinking very well now and, although not intended for aging, it should last for a few more years.

May 21, 2021 - Nice wine, needs 1-2 hours in the decanter for the harsh peppery nose to meld in with everything else.

April 15, 2020 - Totally agree with the tasting notes below.

Absolutely loved this wine! It will surely keep for a couple of years... and feel free to do put one or two away in the interest of academics. But why would you? It’s so fresh and beautiful. Drinking perfectly right now!

March 26, 2020 - Delightfully fresh, beginning with a nose showing peppers, root vegetables and dirt, round, fresh and lively, the palate shows hints of raspberry, earth, beets, iron and stone, very much an expression of terroir, and made in a powerful yet easy to drink style, incredibly good
