Community Tasting Notes 1

March 15, 2024 - For once I followed the recommendation by jancisrobinson.com were this gets a 17/20, with not a lot of other professional reviews available. And I am happy I did so, because this is very, very good. The nose yields ripe, dark forest fruits, but then the palate brings a tremendous concentration of dark fruity notes - think black plum and cherry - with intense acidity, followed by biting tannins and a really dry impression. Earthy as well as dark floral notes add complexity and the finish is quite austere. All this makes me conclude that I am drinking this too early and I would like to revisit this in 5 years or so. Certainly since the acidity comes across as tart, meaning like pure tartaric acid. I should consider buying some more of this and have the discipline of waiting for some years before popping another bottle.
