April 18, 2022 - Sourced from sandy/gravelly soil outside Durnstein in the Wachau Valley. We visited this winery back in 2005. Excellent producer. This is one of his introductory wines. 168 cases imported. Terry Theise called this "the best federspiel he has ever tasted" and a candidate for his wine of the vintage. I've previously had the 2004 vintage of this wine. I served this a little too warm. Clear white color. Good minerality with white fruit but overall slightly on the simple side. 87 points.

April 1, 2020 - Balanced, well-made grüner. Bought a few after Terry Thiese rated this unusually high for a federspiel in his catalog. It's good, but nothing that special at $30
