October 15, 2022 - This was a bit boring. Maybe past it's peak? It improved a bit with air, but lacked something to make it interesting or great. Lots of leather, earthy notes, some smoke, cherries.

October 15, 2021 - Darker than a Pistus tasted recently. Cherry, pomegranate, some tobacco, leather notes, stones, and subtle herb notes. As it opens, all the flavors really integrate and meld. Medium body, medium+ acid and firm but well integrated tannins. I'm new to Etna reds but, based on this, completely understand the appeal. Wonderful on its its own or with food.

August 30, 2021 - Wonderfully balanced wine that fights way above its weight. So elegant and silky. This is one of those lower priced wines you want to buy by the truck load.

March 19, 2021 - Loving this, lovely texture, grainy tannins, tobacco & liquorice. Medium bodied. Burgundian style. More finesse than power

February 6, 2021 - Just consistently good. Found 6 more at EATALY in LA and am thrilled. So Italian, but with more than a hint of Burgundian finesse.
