Ripe red fruit (raspberry, red cherry, cranberry), dried spices, dried leaves, (I guess like a REALLY dried/old version of garrigue), cinnamon, caraway and allspice on the nose. Palate is more primary - I'm getting mostly the fruit. Intensity of both flavors and aromas is medium.
Medium + body with medium acid, low tannin and a short finish. I'm guessing peak was around late 2020/early 2021 for these based on the other notes.
Anyway, don't age these so long. If you have any left, please drink them now or cook with them. I'm not going to rate it as it wasn't meant to be 8 years old. And that's perfectly okay. Sella & Mosca is a great producer who knew exactly what they were doing here. -
