Community Tasting Notes 12

August 31, 2018 - From memory, at NACC with steamed lobster, a great match with a favorite chateaux from 40 years ago. Everyone thought this wine tasted like majority semillon, and everyone was wrong; my favorite style of Bordeaux blanc.

June 9, 2017 - Gold/bronze colour. Bq open, fat, w grape, minerals, apricots, some honey, yellow apples. Oak in background. Medium body w still plenty of acidity, overripe apples. Aftertaste thinning out, dominated by acidity and minerals. Here it shows its age. Good with food, but should have been drunk a couple yrs ago.

March 14, 2015 - Leider Kork, man ahnt die alte Größe und spürt eine honigartige Konzentration mit tiefen und komplexen Aromen aber leider alles hinter einem korkigem Schleier.

October 10, 2009 - Perfectly ok; nice mineral nose with citrus, apricot and honey and a whiff of oak; palate offers similar fruits with a touch of spicy savouriness. Acidity is fine but starting to dip. Good with food. Workmanlike but not exciting.

July 15, 2009 - Golden in colour; Mineral nose - some honeyed development. Quite primary as far as the development of the Semillon is concerned; Fresh palate - elegant, not too developed. Could age further. Slightly hollow on the mid-palate. Good length. Some citrus and a nutty finish.
