Big Juicy Red Likes this wine:
May 28, 2022 - So much tart cherry it’s almost a lighter, fresher Burgundy. A little less enamored by this wine now than I was a few months ago.

April 3, 2022 - Slightly cloudy, a hint of volatile acidity - not unpleasant, although it didn’t seem to dissipate - funky forest floor notes, with accompanying blackberry and cherry fruit, almost chewy texture. We have fewer Chenas holdings in our cellar than other cru Beaujolais, so is it this particular bottle/producer or the Chenas?

January 30, 2022 - Wine is slightly cloudy. Color is pale purple with hints of rust.
Nose is moderate intensity, maybe black cherry and pomegranate with a hint of something herbaceous (green bell pepper?).
There’s a hint of effervescence to the taste. Lots of tart cherry and blackberry or black cherry notes, but with no noticeable tannins it glides every so lightly over my tongue. Light to moderate body, moderate complexity, high acid, and moderate alcohol (just looked — it’s 12%, so more like moderate minus to low).
Overall it’s quite enjoyable, if slightly atypical. I got it on close out for about $20, so very happy with it. -

May 31, 2020 - Beautiful garnet red color. The nose is typical Beaujolais. Strawberries and raspberries for days. Faint traces of bubblegum. The taste is fresh, light and extremely delicate. Besides the fruit there is also notes of a little licorice. For my palate this wine is a little too thin. Not dull by any means, just a touch too pretty. High acidity, very low tannins pure fruit but light as feathers...

May 14, 2020 - Translucent ruby color with with black cherry, raspberry, pomegranate, mushrooms, sandalwood, dried rose and subtle baking spice aromas. On the palate it’s between light and medium-bodied and harmonious with vibrant acid and well-integrated supple tannins red cherry, pomegranate, black raspberry and spice flavors with an appealing kiss of stony minerality and a lingering finish. 12.5% abv. SRP -$34
