Community Tasting Notes 9

March 22, 2024 - Another pearl from Duroché , crunchy Pinot Noir with a very seductive nose and taste, pure bliss.

July 13, 2023 - Not much resistance, but beautiful fragrant from the get go, with mellow purple fruit, wood ok integrated, and a pleasure sloshing about.
The smooth and coherent showing makes me glad I took the chance a bit early. I have had positive experiences with cracking 2018 over 2019 in the lower segment of Burgundy, but stepping up a notch this delivered, and were still right in place day 2.

March 10, 2023 - Deep colour, crimson rim; slow to unfurl, a playful/spicy note (though I believe 100% destemmed); rich, dark fruit; lovely fresh feel, real depth, generous; there should be plenty more to come. Gorgeous. Drink over the next decade.

May 30, 2022 - Very similar to the other '18 Duroche Gevrey wines. Open-knit and deep with pure fruit, but also very much on the deep dark end of the spectrum, as one often finds with '18s.

October 14, 2021 - Tons of ripe black cherries. Gentle and dusty tannins. Nice acidity. Lacks in complexity compared to the Lavaut, but this is very enjoyable already for its primary fruit. 92+ potential
