July 20, 2019 - Purchased on Stromboli island - quite hard to find the wines made there. This a golden amber with hints of brown. Wine isn't amazing. Sweet and anonymous, but not really sweet enough for the "liquoroso" expectation. No depth or much interest. Sort of sherry-muscatty in tone; a bit flabby. Not a patch on the better wines from the other islands under the Pantellaria or Lipari designations. I suggest serving over a chunk or two of ice to enjoy for refreshment rather than a strict dessert wine.
