April 7, 2024 - As good as last year. Will try to lower my pace with my two remaining bottles.

June 23, 2023 - In der Nase sehr klares, reifes Steinobst. Dazu deutlich hell-kräutrig, fast auch etwas an Heu erinnernd, etwas Rauch, ganz verhalten grüner Zitrus. Deutlich würzig, tatsächlich an schwarzen Pfeffer erinnernd.

    Klasse.

    WVL in 2025.

June 3, 2023 - Liked it a tad better than last summer. No surprise given its young GG age.

Last year I wrote "Lovely and complex GG with multiple layers of intense tangerine, melon, minerals, tannins, salty herbs, and light yeast."

This time I didn't get the yeasty note but rather a salted caramel finish. 92p+

August 1, 2022 - I quite liked the St. Antony Orbel Riesling GG (2017 and 2018) and hence bought a few bottles of their Pettenthal GG 2018.
Organic producer with spontaneous fermentation and only steel tank maturation (at least for Pettenthal GG).

Lovely and complex GG with multiple layers of intense tangerine, melon, minerals, tannins, salty herbs, and light yeast. Still refreshing though (6.1 g/L TA vs 2.1 g/L RS).

Brilliant food pairing at our BBQ with grilled Loup de Mer and sea bream!

    Bilger: 20/20
    Lobenberg: 95-96
