December 22, 2022 - Didn't enjoy me at all. Drunk over two days. Palate fell apart with the acid and tannins sticking out. Feels like this should be drunk very young. Much prefer his Pinots. Shame, as I love a good Yarra Cabernet. Pretty expensive discovery.

February 9, 2020 - Farewell to the Glades. Wax-top cork closure. Drank in Gabriel Standart. Tasted over 2 nights.
Appearance is clear, deep intensity, purple colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of fragrant blackcurrant, floral violet, rhubarb, dark red berries, and povious green bell peppers with more air. Youthful.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), fine medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet spices, sweet ripe blackcurrant, light blackberry jam, grilled green bell peppers, whole bunch carbonic candy. Medium finish.
Good quality. Exactly what it is. 100% whole bunch cool climate Cabernet Sauvignon. Refreshing for a change in wine-making style for this varietal. Didn't really make my heart rate increase much though. I'm more interested to try the Nebbiolo and Bloody Hill Pinot Noir from this guy.

December 10, 2019 - GrandCuvee - Cabernets: Northern vs Southern Hemisphere (The Botanic, Raffles City): Deep purple, moderate thickness and high extraction. Orange blossom and orange zest aromas with raspberry. Acidic, medium tannins and medium weight, while with some good alcohol heat. Cherry and orangey flavours, and somewhat beery hoppy at the back. Seems like something made naturally

April 30, 2017 - Deep Black Ruby red in colour with violet rim at April 2017. nice Cork closure with wax top.
Lovely Ripe Blackberry Blackcurrant like fruit leaps out of the glass with sweet newish charred oak characters too . v/nice
On the palate tho ,lite to medium bodied , some sweet fruit but lacking mid palate richness and some what disappointing finish , lacks tannin structure an has high acid finish. Ready to drink over next 2 years.
