July 30, 2018 - Best before February 27th, 2019. 4,5% alcohol. Hazy and slightly unclean yellow color with a small and short white head. Lively, funky and somewhat earthy nose with aromas of fermenting lemons and some green apples. The beer is medium-bodied and somewhat funky on the palate with relatively clean flavors of tart lemony citrus fruits, some tangy green apples, a little bit of earthy funk and a hint of yeast. The beer feels enjoyably sour with smooth yet crisp carbonation and no hop bitterness to speak of. The finish is lively, somewhat sour and refreshing with medium-long flavors of tart green apples, some lemony sourness, a little bit of hoppy lemon zest tones and a hint of earth. No hop bitterness.
A nice, clean and refreshing sour. A balanced and well-made, if not particularly complex effort for a commercial sour ale. Very enjoyable for what it is.
