Community Tasting Notes 10

November 1, 2023 - Dark, brambly fruit and a long, tannic finish. I have one more bottle that I will lay down for a couple more years.

January 4, 2023 - I seem to be stuck in a spot drinking wines that are fine for the moment but not very memorable. This wine fits that description. It opened as a medium weight wine with a nose of ripe cherry and spice. The initial mouth feel was slightly tannic dominated by cherry, a bit of earthiness, and some pepper. The finish was short and fairly one dimensional. The bottle drank well with a plate of cheese and salami, minestrone soup and salad. It never really opened up more and there was a fair amount of sediment that I think may have affected the taste after the initial few glasses. Not sure where this goes from here but I would probably consume in the next year or two. Cheers, be healthy and drink well.

February 9, 2022 - Deep ruby color. Aromas of brambly fruits and peppery spice. Medium bodied on the palate, juicy with good presence and length.

June 12, 2021 - Savory. Went well with wood fired pizza

October 5, 2020 - This is a little overdone with a slightly gummy texture. Tasty dark fruits but could really use less weight and more freshness.
