June 27, 2023 - Quick decant. Nose of dry blackberry, dried thyme, notes of dried dill, anise. Dry blueberry and black licorice on the palate with lots of acidity, prickly tart berry, and wet slate. Finish adds blue fruits, round tannins, wet stones, Poblano pepper, with a resurgence of the tannins in the finale. A dry style for a Zin blend which isn't what we look for but well put together.

April 15, 2023 - Excellent classic American blend of zin and syrah.

December 19, 2022 - In line with others tasting notes, delicious restrained higher acid style blend of zin and syrah that did very well as the closing pour and surprised some with it's finesse. Pnp and it didn't last long. Some decanting may have raised the score. I'm curious if there will be more tertiary depth over the next few years.

June 2, 2022 - PnP drank on its own. Medicinal nose with pomegranate, dark cherry, and pencil shavings. Peppery black cherry palate is bold but quite dry, with notes of stewed rhubarb, kale, lavender, and used bouquet garni. Finish shows strong Petite Sirah style tannins paired with a shimmering, peppery, meaty red fruit Syrah finish, ending a bit metallic. This wine is surprisingly dry and seems could use some zesty Zin character for balance at this stage. With time, I'd guess it's either going to smooth out and improve or evolve towards a bitter old man. I'd rate it 91? now.

January 21, 2022 - Wondeful dark rich fruit, but not a jam bomb. Can’t wait to try it in another year or three, but quite drinkable now.
