  September 1, 2007 - Had the 2000 Reserve a few nights before and this was better. Garnet colored with dark fruit/plum on the nose. Palate was surprisingly soft but with good structure from the tannins. Well integrated, dark fruit with slight earthiness and moderately complex. Moderate finish. Bad year for cabs but perhaps saved because of the mountain terroir. . If you like fruit bombs, this or almost any other mountain fruit is not going to be your style. It is more a demonstration of terroir akin to the french style.
