September 22, 2020 - Slightly toward medium bodied. Sweet hint of flora and honeysuckle with slight berry and cherry notes. Young so not surprisingly it’s still on the tannin side. Suitable as the entree vino for dinner wine pairing to start off with. With tapas will be nice...

March 1, 2020 - Nose with cherries, hints of mixed forest berries and undergrowth, some flowery notes. Medium minus body, cherries and some raspberries on the palate, good acidity that provides freshness, and barely noticeable tannins. Fine balance, good freshness, well polished, drinks well out of the gate but could of course be cellared for a while, 86 pts.

This is a quite decent négociant Bourgogne rouge, with darker fruit than sometimes seen, which I suppose could be both due to the ripe vintage and the old vines indicated on the label. This was my first encounter with an Agerter wine. I've often seen them in airport shops in the last couple of years, so I thought I should finally try a bottle now that the entry-level red was of a suitable vintage. This wine was somewhat better than I had expected.
