September 25, 2022 - Decant. 5yrs mark, wanted to see what this wine offer. Wine is dark red, lots of fine sediments.
Smell: black currant, cherry, faint eucalyptus
Palate: bell pepper, some spicy notes, cocao, sweet tannins, high alcohol but balance. The finish isnt long.
Expected more from this 407, its drinking well now but not beautiful. Need more depth. -

February 10, 2022 - The notes cover this wine, as it is a basic delicious example of CS. Nice balance from color to finish and from the spectrum of flavors. Smooth enough to enjoy on its own. Structured enough to pair well with heartier fare. Doesn't mind sitting ignored for a couple of days... it'll be there when you need it. QPR is solid.
