May 18, 2020 - Something of a funky nose that doesn't seem to be blowing away. Delightful berry fruit on the tongue--blackberry, blueberry. A "big" mouthfeel--almost viscous, Nice tannin and acid. Fun to enjoy tonight, but my remaining stash will stay sideways for quite a while.

May 9, 2020 - Super funky nose after 2 hours in the decanter. Beautiful translucent violet color, with dark pink on the edges. This wine is built to last forever, but so damn enjoyable and crushable.beautiful blue fruits and a little spice, held up by the tannic back bone. This is a monster wine, really sad the vines are gone.

May 2, 2020 - This is like alcoholic ocean spray cranberry concentrate in all the best ways. Very fruit forward. Some moderate alcohol on the nose initially that blows off. Nice gritty tannins on the back end that remind you she’s in for the long haul. Paired awesome with homemade pizza

After about 30 minutes it picked up a background briary/earthy note and you'll swear you are coaxing a smoke meat note in the background. It will most likely develop some nuance in time, but fun to take it for a ride now and just have fun. Served on the cool side and let it warm in glass.

April 17, 2020 - Opened with a very lively freshness and considerable interest. After a few minutes it shut down. Still OK, but muted. After three days in the fridge with a Repour, it emerged smooth, well-balanced with good length. Notes of red fruit. Drinks very well. The flavor sort of sneaks up behind you, not as in-your-face as many D&R cuvées. Still on the young side and needs some time to really show its stuff, so I'm letting my other bottles rest for a while.
