June 15, 2010 - Very blue for a zin. Smooth and full-bodied to stand up to surf & turf. Great buy!

August 15, 2008 - 14.3% alcohol. Open for about 5 hours before drinking. Mouthwatering aromas of chocolate, cherries, dried cranberries, bramble, and Asian pickled plums. A bit angular on the palate, but nice blackberry and strawberry fruit. The acidity kind of overtakes the finish. But quite pleasant to drink nonetheless.

October 27, 2007 - This is a wine that is consistent from first sniff to the long, deep cherry finish. Throughout, it shows depth, dark enticing fruit, and soft candied overtones. In the nose, the black cherry, toffee and floral notes draw you in. In the mouth, its cherry and boysenberry fruit give a real perception of sweetness, enhanced by soft tannins and spicy wood notes. Its moderate alcohol allows the freshness and complexity of this wine to shine through, as well as helping it to be excellent for pairing with anything from pasta dishes and roasted meats to Parmesan and Manchego cheese and dark chocolate brownies.
