November 20, 2020 - This was a nice Albarino -- structure, integrated, but not particularly memorable. Paired nicely with a bone-in pork chop we consumed on a Zoom party with a bunch of friends. I thought it was pretty good until I had the next wine. Not bad, but not memorable.

Albarino is not my favorite grape - I often don't like whites with that bitterness on the finish, and the extended lees aging gave it a slightly too-rich texture so it didn't have the zip that I would expect. Yet...I couldn't stop refilling my glass. Somehow it all just works, though I don't think it works well as a shellfish pairing...something richer is more appropriate.
