May 21, 2021 - First btl, more of a benchmarking exercise. Purchased at domaine. Pop and pour, but 1.5 hrs slow ox. Benchmarking, but stunning. Better than the 17 at this stage? On the nose: pure lemon mineral at first, then lemon, wet stone, soft vanilla cream, sweet apple, limestone earth. On the palate: fantastic acidity, lemon oil, sweet apple, vanilla cream, fantastic density...lovely finish.
