  September 12, 2020 - Decanted - now 1.5h after decant. Gamay from Isere - between Savoie and N. Rhone. Rich, heady and expressive aromas of ripe black cherries, bubblegum, green herbs, minerals, and a fresh, almost minty alpine air quality. Juicy, bright ripe red and black cherries with excellent acids, nice minerals, green herb and eucalyptus/mint component that speaks to its mountainous origins. A nice creamy midpalate with mild tannins buttressed by the acids. Definitely gamay but doesn't have the high toned brightness of carbonic macerated beaujolais. Rather, has some more bass notes with some nice cool alpine components - a distinct and delicious alpine take on gamay. This is really good.

  June 24, 2020 - Indeed, tasted like a very cool climate gamay, lean, low on tannins, and barely-ripe but not green fruit. Excellent fresh and floral nose, red-not-grapey palate, and refreshing rather than tart medium finish. Prefectly fine now, my sense is that a little time will deepen the palate, hopefully leaving the beautiful fragrance intact. As a bonus, pleasantly received by our local civilians.
