Same, I like it very much.

January 17, 2020 - Full bodied, rather robust, dry and tasty, showing balanced malt and bread flavors with a slightly bitter finish that was pronounced while the beer got warmer in the glass. Overall smooth and poised. Delicious trappist ale.

    August 3, 2019 - Best before October 16th, 2020. 7,4% alcohol.

Deep and only very slightly translucent dark mahogany color with a quite big, creamy head. The nose feels sweet and quite dark-toned with aromas of nuttiness, roasted malt, some smoky tones, a little bit of charred pastries and a hint of licorice. Overall the nose feels what I'd associate with a British ale, perhaps less so with a Trappist. The beer is moderately full-bodied, savory-sweet amd quite complex on the palate with flavors of licorice, rye malt porridge, some bittersweet dark chocolate, a little bit of allspice-driven spice, a hint of herbal bitterness and a touch of burnt sugar. The carbonation feels quite soft and the hop bitterness is moderately high - especially for a Trappist. The finish is quite bitter with rather long flavors of roasted malts, some burnt sugar, a little bit of charred, sooty bitterness, light rye malt porridge tones and a hint of salty liquorice.

A tasty, balanced and surprisingly bitter Trappist that feels less flashy and more restrained than what seems to be typical of Trappist beers on the continental side of Europe. The beer is relatively dry and perhaps more roasted in style than seems to be typical of Trappists, perhaps reflecting more on the local brewery style. A tasty and well-made beer, but still the beer felt slightly underwhelming for my taste - especially considering how the beer was whopping 12,50€ for a 0,33-liter bottle in a bar.
