October 3, 2016 - 1996 champagne evening, wine nr 3. Rich nose with fallen fruit, blood grape, gunpowder, apricots and some dessert wine notes. Mature feeling, a little broad structure. Slight cork defect. Producer is cooperative of around 25 growers, 80 hectares, this vintage 75/25 PN CH, 6gr dosage.

November 26, 2015 - Showing its age with some oxidative notes, but still has delicious, rich, toasty apple pie and spiced lemons. Lots of power, and a very long, persistent bead. Excellent.

September 8, 2012 - The wine smells of apples, minerals, citrus and bread. Not really as good as 1,5 years ago. Nice acidity in spite of its age.

December 4, 2011 - - Yellow color with medium pearls and aromas of lemon, hazelnut, hay/straw and baker's yeast. It's overly acidic with a medium/full body. Smooth texture with a medium finish.

February 5, 2011 - The wine has notes of apples, minerals, brioche and almonds. On the pallet there is all this and mushrooms, truffle and a slight tone of chocolate. Fantastic structure and balance. Very mouth-filling with a long and nice aftertaste. Nice acidity. This has certainly not passed its best-before date. Had it the first night as an aperitif and the second night with chicken stuffed with chevré and chorizo and stir-fried noodles with sugarsnaps, shallot and garlic as a side-dish. Improves greatly with food.
