September 17, 2020 - Smells like ripe full bore zinfandel. And tastes like it too.

November 9, 2019 - Taste CA Wines + 1 OR Pinot Noir (San Diego Wine Co.): “90% Zin & 10% P.S.™ harvested over a period of several wks to attain ideal ripeness (25.5° ave Brix), picked in the early hrs of the morning, & destemmed into fermenters. During ferment the juice was pumped over 2x/day, & gently pressed after 2 wks where it aged for 14 mos in FR & AM oak. 14.6% ABV, 0.50 g/L R.S., 6.0g/L T.A., & 3.71 pH; 16,420 cases produced.” ™Stats from the winery’s “Fact Sheet” rather than the bottle’s label which states 73% Zin, 21% P.S., & 6% Tempranillo.

N: RIPE brambleberries with hints of dill seed

P: LM body; RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt (approaching threshold R.S.?) met by an astringent pucker which doesn't even remotely lose contact with the init frt/SWTNESS as it evolves into a LONG, balanced finish with an alluring tangy/SWTNESS to the few, firming, unoffensive, dusty tannins. For now & into '23. My EXC-/EXC, *easily* the higher IF one takes into account THIS price pt! 88 pts & "Best Buy" WE (7/1/19) @ $13, and the ff'ing '19 Contest results: Gold @ S.F. Chronicle & Bronze @ W Coast Wine Comp. [This vendor's (closeout?) $7.99 is an INCREDIBLE $6 < wine-searcher's only currently listed source!]
