July 27, 2023 - Light amber color. Minimal nose. Rich notes of tropical fruit, green apple, pineapple, saline, stone fruit and sweet oak
. Balanced with a long, pleasant finish. Good wine from a marginal vintage

August 27, 2022 - Citrus, flowers, and tropical fruits on the nose, with undertones of oak and vanilla, but in good balance for a new world chardonnay. The palate has great acidity that keeps everything in balance, and the finish is quite long with the citrus predominating. Very nice.

April 16, 2022 - Pop and pour. Poured a taste into a Glasvin Expression glass.
Let the bottle get some exposure to air.
    Light straw color.
Wonderful bouquet, seasalt spray with a nice tart citrus note, unripe kiwi.
Ripe round mouthfeel. Shows some richness but retains elegance, and with the acidity, keeps it interesting, showing some tension.

Delicious lemon tart candy note on the back end; more like a Myer lemon that a sweet candy.
    Delicious.
Retasted I. A Grassl Cru glass on the 3rd dayafter opening when i saved 1/3rd in the bottle, refrigerated under vacuvin.
Shows the slightest of oxidation. It retains a rich, round wine with a fresh bright citrus and seaspray element to follow with the lovely tart lemon candy finish.

    Quality cork.
    Unfiltered.
    Branded with vintage, no vineyard.
    13.8% abv.

August 7, 2021 - My last bottle of three and oh my is it blousy. If you are looking for austere or restrained chardonnay, look to Arnot Roberts or Ceritas instead. This is largely scaled, tropical, with obvious MLF, rich notes of butter cream, balanced by snappy acids and salinity. I love it, but note it’s flamboyant and not for the faint of heart… and yet, blind, I could see myself guessing a warm vintage Puligny, perhaps 2015..

February 20, 2021 - Tropical and unctuous with notes of lemon curd, toasted almond, butter, and cantaloupe. It was my favorite wine in the RC lineup on a trip last year and remains so. This fits the mold of a ripe, sun-kissed California chard, very similar to Teeter Totter but for the fact that this is 13.4% alcohol and farmed from estate fruit. A glass of joy.
