    February 3, 2024 - Very good wine indeed!

    December 24, 2016 - Decanted at 5:30 and drunk throughout the evening. Medium to dark garnet colored with a slightly herbaceous nose initially bit with more air it became savory rather than "green"...dark fruit and earth also on the nose. Mid-palate is somewhat simple just some dark fruit. Certainly pleasant but lacking some depth. This is still a bug wine with some Shiraz at the core that will probably add some depth over time. I think this will get better but not a sure thing. I had hoped for a little better showing actually from this.

    November 16, 2012 - Contrary to earlier comments I didn't find this monolithic or too sweet (and I am usually very sensitive to sweetness in red wine) but was rather surprised to find a well-balanced and skillfully made wine with great minerality and lots of finesse which only a cooler vintage can supply. Perfectly integrated oak and a very pure cassis fruit mix with eucalyptus flavors and minerals, the tannins are elegant and soft and there is a very fresh acidity which adds tension. This is an excellent wine and there is not a hint of age on this bottle! QPR is questionable though. Drink or hold. - 91 points

    August 9, 2011 - Alcohol :: 14.5%
    Deep ruby red. Very expressive aromas of roast meat, eucalyptus oil, pepper intermixed with blueberry and plum fruits. Rich, fleshy with loads of vanilla, mocha, sweet dark fruits and savory meatiness. Drinking well now but relatively simply and uninteresting. Medium length finish.

    August 9, 2011 - Mid garnet; brash, exhuberant nose, warm, hint oy eucalyptus; soft, velvety fruit; dense, direct/monolithic, easy; power & richness on a long finish, drink soon.
