March 23, 2024 - 2 hour plus decant. Ripe red and black fruits, cracked black pepper, crushed stones, dark chocolate and barrel spices. It’s at a great spot for some. Big mountain tannins have softened, acid is nice and pleasant. Finish is smooth. I did like this a bit younger. Great wine.

December 15, 2023 - This purple/magenta Pritchard Hill wine is on fire. Sensational notes of baked blackberries, mixed fruit compote, vanilla puffs, sweet minerals, milk chocolate and baking spices. Lovely acid and ripe tannins on long finish.

November 23, 2022 - Getting the holiday weekend started! 2 hr decant. Brilliant purple, highly aromatic nose of toasted plums, blackberry jam, and dark cherries beautifully anchored by mouth-watering earthy minerality.
Concentrated and balanced palace adds an amazing rush of dark berry notes, iron/ferric component, zesty freshness, spiced black tea and melted licorice. Resolved tannins on a long finish. Cheers and happy thanksgiving weekend all!1 person found this helpful Comment -

September 15, 2022 - Needed a great wine on this bummer of a day. Roger Federer retiring. The most elegant, beautiful, effortless and majestic game 😒. Thought I gotta open a wine by a fellow Swiss to honor RF! So Jean H wine it is. Pretty purple, sensational notes of chalky minerality, granite, lit tobacco, melted black licorice, lightly roasted plums and dark berries. Impeccably balanced showing power and finesse as it dances around the palate as Fed does on the tennis court. Bright acidity and grainy tannins on a long finish 🍷
