January 11, 2023 - so good but so tight on day one
softer and delicious on day 7
    obviously years of life left
better to let this sleep 5-7 years if you can keep your hands off before trying again

November 18, 2022 - My goodness! This is an absolute complete wine! This is not even a Riserva. This white label has the purest of red fruit, it is not weighty, I detect red cherry and black cherry, spices that you would find in a bakers kitchen, tar, flower petals, rose petals, mineral, clay, sun baked pebbles. At only four years old, this wine is riveting, and it is a quintessential power without weight wine. It has such texture, and such mouthfeel/presence; I love it! Seek this out, it is a no brained. I cannot wait to see what a couple of decades does for this wine…

May 27, 2022 - Drunk at La Rosa dei Vini in Serralunga d'Alba. Surprisingly mature and approachable for a relatively young Barolo. Dark red brown. Brooding nose of dark fruit, molasses, pipe tobacco and leather. The palate is thick with chocolate, hung game and firm tannins. Really superb.

April 17, 2022 - Really liked this one, well balanced and smooth. Will drink very good many years to come

November 13, 2021 - Bartolo Mascarello e Bruno Giacosa (Restaurant du Théâtre, Monthey): Nez encore fermé, peu expressif, bouche un peu métallique, courte, tannins fins, un vin qui doit encore se révéler
