March 17, 2024 - Pretty nice meunier rosé. Blood orange is a good note, with some macerated strawberry. Even at 2g/L it comes across as rather austere to me. A gastronomic champagne to borrow a term. I wasn’t crazy enough about it to re-buy, but this style may appeal to drinkers on the low/no dose end of the spectrum.

January 28, 2023 - A pretty and nicely-evolved rose fizz that lacked excitement. Plenty of interesting notes - blood orange, ginger, a slight gameyness - and good, crisp structure, but it simply wasn't arresting. Maybe better a year or two ago, with more youthful energy, or in a year or two's time, with more evolution. Tasty, but not £75 tasty.

July 5, 2022 - The last of my 3 bottles. Decanted and started to drink immediately.

My impression is that this has evolved nicely since my previous TN 18 months ago. It's now immediately approachable, but still with that core of blood orange, still perhaps a hint of blackberry, a little bit of a sweeter fruit like peach, and a chalky minerality that lingers on the finish.

This is now a really wonderful champagne. Grab some if you can find any bottles still. At the ~US$55that I paid these were stunning QPR also.

December 9, 2021 - Disgorged October 2018. Old vine Meunier with about 2 gms of dosage. This bottle is singing, more electric than the bottle a few months ago. This one has a clean and lively presence with great length. Blood orange, strawberry, lime skin and stone fruit like a peach. Flinty finish with lime. This is delicious as it approaches 10 years old.

October 15, 2021 - Disgorged October 2018, with 2 grams of dosage, 100% Pinot Meunier. This wine picked up weight as it sat in the glass, which added to the depth and structure that it enjoys right now. Strawberry, watermelon and an 'orange-sickle' note, like the frozen orange treat we eat here in the US, featuring that creamy citrus profile. This was very good.
