  September 25, 2020 - Sourced from the Bluford Vineyard on Howell Mtn. Winemaker Mike Dunn - son of Randy Dunn of Dunn Vineyards. Dark ruby fruit - cherry, red/black currants, and a little plum. Smooth mid-palate with solid depth/concentration - medium plus body. Nice vibrant flavors of dark berries, some spice/licorice, and a fairly prominent mineral/graphite component. Fairly long finish but just a little tart - a little bing cherry on the back-end. Decanted for two hours and drank over a couple more. Improved with time but drinking pretty well after the decant despite its youth which was a little surprising in consideration of my previous experiences with his father’s cabs at Dunn which tend to need a long time to develop. However, I believe another year or two will be beneficial to let it soften/open-up some more. 100% cab.
