Community Tasting Notes 33

  • tewino Does not like this wine:

June 24, 2019 - Badly oxidized. Makes me sad as this is one of my favorite producers of Sancerre.

  • cse Likes this wine: 92 points

October 23, 2016 - gorgeous and perfectly balanced, but not quite as involving as the bottle i drank a few years ago. i'm not sure how many years this has left.

June 20, 2016 - Similar to prior tastings: "poached pear, lemon, honey, mango, some apricot, pineapple, vanilla." Still soft, creamy and velvety in the mouth. Drinking at its apogee now and still drinking well. Remaining bottles should probably be drunk soon.

July 8, 2015 - A lovely Sancerre. Gorgeous nose, floral palate, delightful.

April 17, 2014 - I agree with the other notes that this is a fantastic bottle, with great complexity and minerality. It has a bit of Chenin-like character, but much less than my prior bottle and is (as prior tasters have described it) a bit like a cross between a dry Vouvray and a Sancerre. This bottle had more acidity and freshness than my last, and a gorgeous, detailed texture. A wine of the year candidate for me.
